Spring break and the Kids’ Choice Awards are two sure signs that the end of the school year is near. The KCAs have been a seasonal fixture in early April for more than 35 years, and this award show is still going strong. The most recent edition was hosted by the one-and-only Rob “Gronk” Gronkowski and iCarly star Miranda Cosgrove, who was once the highest paid child actor in Hollywood.
The show featured over-the-top performances from Jack Harlow and Kid Cudi along with a long list of special guests, but our favorite moment was undoubtedly when the hosts received a hefty dose of their own slimy medicine to close out the award show. They certainly deserve a blimp trophy for that memorable performance, but there were other standouts.
Winners from the 2022 edition of the KCAs included iCarly, SpongeBob SquarePants, Ed Sheeran, BTS and the awkwardly titled High School Musical: The Musical: The Series starring Olivia Rodrigo and Joshua Bassett. What a cute couple!

The 2023 KCAs are happening on Saturday, April 8th (estimated date). The 36-year-old show is happening in Los Angeles at a great venue that’s yet to be announced. Traditional venues for this slimy, star-studded award show have included the Barker Hangar in Santa Monica and USC’s Galen Center.
